MySQL Slave Database Not Replicating on BDA / BDCS - Errors in Log "Error 'Operation CREATE USER failed for 'BDA_ODI_REPO'@'<HOST.DOMAIN>'' on query..." (Doc ID 2573253.1)

Last updated on APRIL 24, 2020

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.11.0 and later
Big Data Cloud Service - Version 1.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

In the case here on either BDCS or BDA, MySQL replication is not enabled, therefore the MySQL master and MySQL slave are not in sync.

1. MySQL queries using the "count" function on the same table do not return the same values on the MySQL master and MySQL slave, as per the example query below.

NOTE: In the example below, table names, values, etc. represent a fictitious sample. Any similarity to actual environments, or entities, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
