Exadata ALTER PHYSICALDISK N:N DROP FOR REPLACEMENT is hung (Doc ID 2574663.1)

Symptoms

There is a proactive physical disk replacement and using following command, it never finished and just stuck.

CellCLI> ALTER PHYSICALDISK n:n DROP FOR REPLACEMENT

 

From cell's alert.log file, below are seen ::

No sign of flush dirty Flash Cache to Grid disk belong to DATA disk group ever to be completed.

 

Check following command's output show it is decreasing but very slow progress.

CellCLI> list metriccurrent attributes name,metricvalue where name like 'FC_BY_DIRTY';
