Goal

Each database instance in an enterprise domain needs it's own unique SSL certificate to uniquely authenticate it with the directory. Oracle stores certificates in a PKCS#12 certficate store, an Oracle wallet. Each wallet can only contain one certificate for a particular key usage function. Prior to 10g there was no default instance specific wallet location. A non default wallet location is specified by the WALLET_LOCATION parameter in the sqlnet.ora. To provide a unique wallet location per certificate each instance must have a unique sqlnet.ora.
