Purpose

To inform interMedia image users about a memory leak that can occur when batch processing multiple images within a single database session.

Scope

interMedia users doing many processing operations within a single session encounter intermittent out of memory errors even though there is sufficient SGA available to the instance. It is not possible to reproduce the error with any single input image and processing command pair when processing images one at a time.
Out of memory errors occur with interMedia 9iR1, 9iR2 and 10gR1.
