Extract on DB2 is Slow When Reading Logs On Tape (Doc ID 2863122.1)

Symptoms


When the extract was reading logs kept on tape, it was noticed it kept mounting/unmounting the same log dataset. Due to this the Extract was very slow


The question is why GG extract can not mount archive log dataset and keep it until finish processing the whole dataset.
