Purpose

To list what to do when you receive the following error when (re)compiling or calling a piece of pl/sql:

ORA-06550: line <num>, column <num>: ....
or
ORA-06552: PL/SQL: Compilation unit analysis terminated

followed by

ORA-06553: PLS-553: character set name is not recognized


Scope

DBA running into  PLS-553: character set name is not recognized errors
