Legacy exachkscheduler.service or orachkscheduler.service is Running after AHF Upgrade Beyond Version 20 (Doc ID 2875124.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.0.1 and later
Engineered Systems Utilities - Version 20.1 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

Starting in AHF 19.4, the EXAchk (Exadata Systems) and ORAchk (non-Exadata) Scheduler, used for auto execution of compliance reports, was migrated from Linux SystemD to the TFA Daemon Scheduler service.  Some systems have been found to still have the Legacy Scheduler running post upgrade to versions 20.x, 21.x and 22.1.x.  If the Legacy Scheduler is running, a process named init.exachkscheduler (or init.orachkscheduler) will be running on the systems:

This can cause Scheduled Automatic Compliance runs fail.

Changes

Upgrade to AHF 20.x, 21.x or 22.1.x
