Troubleshoot an Incorrect/Unexpected Proxy Setting Prior to/Or During a BDA Mammoth Action when Updating the Base Image (Doc ID 2912158.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.13.0 and later
x86_64

Purpose

To troubleshoot an incorrect/unexpected proxy setting prior to/or during a BDA Mammoth action like upgrade when updating the base image.

For example one of the prerequisites for BDA Mammoth upgrade listed in the "Prerequisites for proxies" section of Prerequisites for BDA 4.14 Upgrade (Doc ID 2568646.1), is to verify that no incorrectly set or unexpected proxies exist. The reason is that incorrect/unexpected proxies can prevent a BDA Mammoth action like upgrade from patching the base image successfully.

This note can be followed proactively to check for proxies during the prerequisite phase before a mammoth action or reactively if the BDA Mammoth action step to patch the base image fails.
