X9M : SPURIOUS "FAILED TO MOUNT /BOOT" MESSAGES SEEN WHILE BOOTING EXADATA DB NODES WITH SAMSUNG NVME RAID (Doc ID 2924933.1)

Symptoms

During boot process of X9M-2 (Shipped with Samsung NVME drives) compute node, we can see below error messages for both /boot and /boot/efi mount points.

We can see finding /boot mounting errors when booting the server. From the ilom console logs we find below errors during boot, but the system manages to boot properly.

But system continues to boot and comes up without any issues.

NOTE : The above messages are expected with the "Samsung NVMe" and no changes are required by customers, and they are good to continue.

            These messages are not seen with X9-2 shipped with "Intel drives". 

Changes

No Changes to default HW/FW/SW or config.
