Purpose

Oracle Text performs indexing, search, and other functions for various languages. These functionalities are provided in the indexing elements, namely the BASIC and AUTO Lexer types. Oracle Text utilizes installed data files for each language.

In database 23ai, the number of supported languages has increased by 26 languages.
