Symptoms

RMAN Active duplicate fails with below error

RMAN-05501: aborting duplication of target database
RMAN-03015: error occurred in stored script Memory Script
ORA-17627: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
Process ID:
Session ID: 12220 Serial number: 16510
ORA-19558: error de-allocating device
ORA-19557: device error, device type: DISK, device name:
ORA-17627: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

Alert log of the auxiliary database contains similar to below entries

Datafile rdba reconstruction error, expected block greater than 39944, got 39942 for datafile 1
Corrupt block 33246 found during reading backup piece, file=network, corr_type=4
Continuing reading piece network, no other copies available.
Corrupt block 33247 found during reading backup piece, file=network, corr_type=-2
Continuing reading piece network, no other copies available.
Corrupt block 33248 found during reading backup piece, file=network, corr_type=-2
Continuing reading piece network, no other copies available.
Corrupt block 33249 found during reading backup piece, file=network, corr_type=-2
Continuing reading piece network, no other copies available.
