Database Firewall Health Indicator Controller_connection Down (Doc ID 2946913.1)

Symptoms

controller_connection status status under health indicator shows down.

Navigation : Logon to AVDF Console as AVADMIN --> Database Firewalls -> Select your firewall name  -> under Diagnostics ,click Health Indicators -> Configuration - > controller_connection status is shown in red (Down).

/var/log/messages will have similar entries like below.

 

mwecsvc: com.oracle.dbfw.MwecStundSinkConnection INFO - Incoming secure connection established: Protocol=TLSv1.2 (%x303), Cipher=ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256

mwecsvc: com.oracle.dbfw.MwecStundSinkConnection INFO - Unknown firewall(<XXXXXXXXX>) is trying to connect from IP: <xx.xxx.xx.xxx>

mwecsvc: com.oracle.dbfw.MwecStundSinkConnection INFO - Incoming secure connection established: Protocol=TLSv1.2 (%x303), Cipher=ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256

mwecsvc: com.oracle.dbfw.MwecStundSinkConnection INFO - Unknown firewall(<XXXXXXXXX>) is trying to connect from IP: <xx.xxx.xx.xxx>

 

Changes

 Network interface change was done recently.
