Symptoms

Materialized view complete refresh hangs once materialized view becomes invalid.

The materialized view hangs on 'PGA memory operation' and '/* QSMQ VALIDATION */ ALTER SUMMARY "<OWNER_SCHEMA>"."<MVIEW_NAME>" COMPILE' indefinitely (will never finish).

No errors reported in alert log or incident traces. Only occurs once the materialized view becomes invalid (no base tables are invalid, they are valid).
