Symptoms
Customer has several databases, where Hash join right using high amount of temp space after upgrade to 19.10 from 12.1.
See large amount of i/o being done on direct path read temp.
Verified not an issue with pga auto target. There is plenty of auto pga target value remaining and the global memory bound values are also high indicating no problem with the work area size.
Issue still occurs with optimizer_features_enable='12.1.0.2'.
Changes
Upgraded to 19.10 from 12.1.
