Symptoms

On a BDA 5.2 cluster using self-signed certificates, Step 7 of expansion, InstallHadoop, fails with:

This is the same symptom seen in the document: BDA 5.2 Node Expansion with CA Signed Certificates Fails in Step 7, InstallHadoop, with "SSLError: sslv3 alert certificate unknown" (Doc ID 2985740.1), but the cause is different.

Changes

The node being expanded back into the cluster was a critical cluster host, which experienced a failure that required its roles be migrated to another non-critical cluster host.
