Create Pluggable Database Fails With ORA-00308: cannot open archived log (Doc ID 3000079.1)

The source CDB is not in archive mode.


SQL> create pluggable database PDB2 from PDB1;
create pluggable database PDB2 from PDB1

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00308: cannot open archived log '+ARCH'
ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file +ARCH
ORA-15045: ASM file name '+RECO' is not in reference form

From the alert log:

db_create_file_dest= "+DATA"
 db_create_online_log_dest_1= "+ARCH"
 db_create_online_log_dest_2= "+ARCH2"
 db_recovery_file_dest    = "+ARCH"

DB_CREATE_ONLINE_LOG_DEST_n (where n = 1, 2, 3, ... 5) specifies the default location for Oracle-managed control files and online redo logs.
