Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 11.2.0.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cost-Based JPPD is not happening to any of the non-mergeable views in scalar subqueries, when one of the scalar subquery has a reference to the remote Database Link (DBLink) object.

This prevents usage of index access on the join column inside the non-mergeable views.
