MySQL Connector/ODBC Data Source Configuration Option "Disable Schema Support" Toggle Resets Incorrectly
(Doc ID 3006637.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2024
Applies to:
MySQL Connectors - Version 8.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Unchecking the “Disable schema support” box does not persist, but is required for users to connect to their databases properly.
Based on our testing, the box being checked sets the NO_SCHEMA value in the ODBC Connector’s registry settings to “1”.
However, unchecking the box removes the value altogether, rather than setting it to “0”. Being configured with an empty value, the application resets it to the default setting of “1”.
This has been observed in 8.2.0 as well as 8.3.0.
