Very Long In-place Upgrade - Huge general_log table size (Doc ID 3015370.1)

Goal

We have 4 instances on this machine.

Three of them were upgraded fast, but the last one and the largest just finished after almost 1 hour. The database size is 180G where the general_log table size is about 100G.

We want to understand why it's too long since we're afraid that it will happen on our production which is 10TB.
