Many BEQ/NETV2 Log files are appearing in the ORA_ROOT:[NETWORK.LOG] Directory (Doc ID 330112.1)

Symptoms

 

Under Oracle release 9.2, the ORA_ROOT:[NETWORK.LOG] directory is being filled with many LOG files.

All the LOG file names are of the format  BEQ_<sid>_<VMS pid>.LOG or NETV2_<sid>_<VMS pid>.LOG

 

Changes

This was not happening under earlier releases of Oracle.

e.g. the problem does not happen with 8.1.7 and 9.0.1
