Symptoms
The system clock had been (accidentally) set a year ahead after a power outage.
Automatic jobs for DBMS_STATS ran, generating statistics.
After setting the clock back to the correct year, DBMS_STATS does not run correctly.
A manual execution of DBMS_STATS fails.
This same problem has reported ORA-600 [17014] on 10.2.0.3.
