Purpose
This note provides clarification details regarding the support of a mixed Data Guard environment where the processor hardware can be either HP Itanium and/or HP PA-RISC 64-bit on the servers supporting the primary or standby database.
Scope
Customers who plan to use Data Guard with a physical standby and want to take advantage of HP's support of a mixed 64-bit server architecture.
