Symptoms

Using Tg4MSQL with SQL Server 2005 / 2000  in
HS_FDS_TRANSACTION_MODEL=TWO_PHASE_COMMIT
mode fails with error:

 

ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Transparent gateway for MSSQL]tm_rollback_from_failure: Heuristic roll back:
trying all tdps, ignoring failure
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from BORIS







Changes

This error was reported against SQL Server 2005 but it was also reproduced against SQL Server 2000.
