Symptoms

Create materialized view fails with ORA-600 [17200], [GEOMETRY] if primary table is located in a 8i database and it contains a column of MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY type.

Problem reproduces at both 9i and 10g databases acting as materialized view sites.

Changes

You might get this problem if you upgrade your materialized view site from 8i to 9i or 10g and keep the primary database as 8i.
