Purpose

This document is intended to provide a list of known patches for Oracle OpenVMS 10.1.0.5.0.

A stand-alone, one-off aka interim patch may conflict with another one-off/interim patch.
For that reason, do not install any one-off patch unless you are experiencing a specific problem.
For our interim patch policy, please see <Note 209768.1>

One-off or interim patches do not have to be installed in chronological order.
What is essential though is to NOT install patches that conflict. Conflicting
patches have one or more modules in common, but contain different fixes.

The patch install script provided with Oracle interim patches will automatically
check for conflicting patches and report any conflicts to your screen. Conflicting
patches, IF you encounter the problems they fix, should be reported to Oracle Support
for resolution.

Scope

What is 10.1.0.5.0?
------------------

10.1.0.5.0 is a patchset to be installed on top of the first release of 10G Release 1 on
OpenVMS, which was 10.1.0.3.0.

10.1.0.5.0 for OpenVMS was released on February 14th, 2008.

The patchset is available under Patchset/Bug:4505133 or from Patches/Quicklinks.

Since this release is very different from previous Oracle on OpenVMS versions, please make sure
you take the time to read the documentation and articles referred to in this note before you start.

10.1.0.5.0 is the final patchset for Oracle 10.1.
