ORA-4030 during RMAN operations (Doc ID 559449.1)

Symptoms

During RMAN operations the following error can occur if large amounts of PL/SQL needs to be generated:
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 24 bytes (PL/SQL DIANA,PTG: Node)

or

ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 4120 bytes (PLMCD,pdy3M63_Finish_Page_Table: Copy data seg)

You have set your system limits to unlimited (check ulimit -a) but the error still occurs.
