How to upgrade CRS on OpenVMS from 10.1.0.3 to 10.1.0.5 (Doc ID 561453.1)

HP OpenVMS Alpha

Purpose

 

 

This note provides instructions on upgrading 10.1.0.3 CRS to 10.1.0.5 on HP OpenVMS Alpha

The Oracle 10.1.0.5 Patch Set for HP OpenVMS Alpha was released 14th February 2008.

However, the Patch Set did not support Cluster Ready Services (CRS) nor Real Application Cluster (RAC).

Oracle customers with 10.1.0.3 CRS/RAC installations were unable to upgrade to the 10.1.0.5 release.

On 14th April 2008, the following patches were released to provide support for Oracle 10.1.0.5 CRS and RAC :-

      <> - The main CRS 10.1.0.5 patch.
      <> - Supplemental CRS 10.1.0.5 patch.
      <> - Further supplemental patch - applicable to both CRS and RAC

Scope

This note is intended for use by Database Administrators intending to upgrade Oracle CRS 10.1.0.3 to 10.1.0.5 on HP OpenVMS Alpha
