Last updated on APRIL 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Rdb Server on OpenVMS - Version 4.2 and later

You use the RMU/CONVERT command and receive RMU-F-CANTCVRTCPT errors. The errors are caused by trying to convert a database with corrupt page table (CPT) entries to a higher version of Oracle Rdb. Oracle Rdb does not allow databases with CPT entries to be converted.

The SYS$HELP:RMU_MSGnn.DOC file for this message states:

CANTCVRTCPT,   Cannot convert a database with CPT entries.

Explanation:   Your database has entries in the corrupt page table and
               cannot be converted.

User Action:   Restore and recover the corrupt pages, back up the
               database, and then convert it.
