NTFS Crawler not indexing fetched documents with SES 10.1.8.x on MS Windows - ACLS Error (Doc ID 727998.1)

Symptoms

Checked for relevance on February 15th, 2010.

After creating Oracle SES  NTFS source on Microsoft Windows and starting the crawler scheduler, the crawler  fetches all the documents from NTFS, but none of the them are indexed

From the crawler log :
The following ACLS Errors will be logged in the crawler log

ERROR crawler_4 ACLS Error: //<UNC path for the NTFS system to crawl>//<File_Name>
ERROR crawler_3 ACLS Error: //<UNC path for the NTFS system to crawl>//<File_Name>
ERROR filter_0 ACLS Error://<UNC path for the NTFS system to crawl>//<File_Name>
ERROR crawler_2 ACLS Error://<UNC path for the NTFS system to crawl>//<File_Name>


Also from the Crawling results, you could see that the Total number of unique documents indexed = 0
