Symptoms
Intermittently in a RAC Cluster queue monitor worker processes are not removing PROCESSED messages which is leading to queue tables growing in size and eventually exhausting the space in the tablespace.
In addition to this messages enqueued with a DELAY specified and are in a WAITING state may not have their state changed to READY to make them available for dequeue at the appropriate time.
This issue can arise without any kind of reconfiguration having taken place in the RAC cluster.
