Goal

The intent of this document is to give instructions concerning how to lower the Highwater Mark (HWM) of the SYSTEM - owned table DEF$_ORIGIN without having to quiesce any Advanced Replication groups defined on the database.  The SYSTEM.DEF$_ORIGIN table stores information concerning what transactions have been applied at the local site.  At times this table can become quite large, with a resulting large HWM.  Performance can be greatly improved by lowering the HWM.
