Purpose

The Replication Option for Rdb Handbook, Release 7.0, chapter 8 discusses the transfer of data into pre-existing target databases. In order to enforce restrictions on who is permitted to drop or alter target definitions and who is permitted to write into a target table, the Replication Option maintains "ownership" information in the target database.

The following is an additional section for chapter 8 which better describes the notion of "ownership".
