Data Dictionary Objects Invalid after Running catalog.sql, catproc.sql, utlrp.sql or catpatch.sql (Doc ID 752783.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 8.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

You systematically encounter invalid objects in the data dictionary. Running catalog.sql, catproc.sql, utlrp.sql or similar scripts do not resolve the problem. The data dictionary or database registry (dba_registry) indicates several invalid components.

This article outlines what to verify and what can be causing this.
