Symptoms

You see excessive audit files ( .aud ) being generated in ASM Home's /rdbms/audit directory or the directory set by the parameter AUDIT_FILE_DEST. This number of audit files is more compared to RDBMS's Audit files, and are being aggressively generated.

You know for every SYSDBA and SYSASM connections, we log it to a .aud file and that can not be turned off. You also see that PQ slave processes ( on 10.2 ) or ms slave ( capture reader process on 11.1 ) is making such numerous connections.
