Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Enterprise Search - Version 10.1.8.0 to 11.1.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This article describes different ways to be able to obtain a Java Thread Dump of the JVM running the instance OC4J_SEARCH, which runs among others, the administration and search applications.

It is mainly indicated to diagnose problems of hangs or performance problems that might appear when administering SES from the HTML pages in the admin application (for example at the moment of activating an Identity Plug in) or HTTP congestion issues from the search application, etc...

Notice that this has nothing to do with the java process running the crawlers.
