CONNECTION POOL WITH OS AUTHENTICATED PROXY USER DOES NOT RESET USER IN ODP.NET (Doc ID 976769.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Provider for .NET - Version 11.1.0.7 and later
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:

While using connection pooling in ODP.NET, a proxy user is used with a Windows Authenticated user logged in and two connections are established to the database through the proxy user. The following select statement is issued:

SELECT USER, GLOBAL_NAME FROM GLOBAL_NAME

However, it still shows the first user for user when the second user runs the same query so it appears that the ODP.NET is not resetting the user.
