The purpose of this article is to explain how to optionally enable logging features for the RC detached processes to aid in troubleshooting and analysis. These logicals were introduced in Oracle Rdb V7.0. Beginning in Oracle Rdb 7.2.1, output or log file names for a number of database server processes are now also controlled by optional database attributes so that only the selected database is effected.
