Symptoms

You are using automatic asset numbering and discover that some asset numbers have been skipped. 
Asset numbers appear to be skipping by a multiples of 20 or some other number.  
This issue may arise when a user is entering assets on the asset workbench in the Oracle Assets application.  For example, a user enters an asset where the asset number of the last asset added was 16450.  At some later time, the user resumes entering assets and notices that the next asset number is 16471 rather than 16451 as expected.
