Symptoms

The system is running out of Shared Memory Pool throwing an error similar to this:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4080 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","update order_release_line se...","sga heap(2,0)","library cache")

This can happen when users attempt to update Order Releases, Shipments, Invoices, etc., anytime when data is updated or inserted. It applies for the entire application since there is no more memory in the Shared Pool.
