java.lang.NullPointerException Error in Download Processor Upon Transfer Of Certain Emails (Doc ID 1060710.1)

Symptoms

Some emails are sent into Oracle Email Center system but they do not get processed and Download Processor gets stuck (must be restarted) or they get downloaded but never processed.

Error given from the Download Processor is as follows, even after having applied patch for <Bug 11805841> EMAILS ARE NOT GETTING DOWNLOADED BY DOWNLOAD PROCESSOR

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)


The expected behavior is to get all emails processed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Send an email to an account in Email Center
2. Check if it has been processed
(R) Email Center Agent Console
(N) My Inbox 

Changes

The instance that is causing the issue is a cloned instance.
