Goal

This document describes how to Setup Remittance Advice Email Notification for Suppliers in Release 12.

In Release 11i AP Remittance Advice E-mail Workflow was used (AP_PAYMENT_EVENT_WF_PKG.get_check_info and GET_PAID_INVOICES) "AP_PAYMENT_EVENT_WF_PKG.RULE_FUNCTION".
That functionality is obsoleted in Release 12. Once disabled, it stops sending the incorrect SRA.
In R12, remittance workflow(APPEWF) is obsolete, instead remittance is sent by Payments program "Send Separate Remittance Advices". The intended functionality for sending Remittance Notification to suppliers in R12 is the 'Separate Remittance Advice' feature, which involves documents which are formatted in the Payments module and which are then printed and/or distributed via XML Publisher. XML publisher has a built in ability to send the remittance advice via email depending on how your payment processing profile is setup.
Remittance Advice will be sent once the payment is confirmed/complete in case the check box of " Automatically Submit at Payment Completion Point" is checked. If the tick is there, SRA fires automatically. If it is not checked, nothing happens. If you go without the tick then you have to fire off a concurrent request which is "Send Seperate Remittance Advice".
