UOM Conversion not Happening for Order Base Line to Ready to Ship Screen (Doc ID 1080961.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.1.0 to 6.1.2 [Release 6.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The UOM is not being converted as expected from the order base line to the ready to ship screen.  For example, when a user preference is setup as LBS and CU FT, but weight is entered in KG and Volume in CU M on the order base line, the ready to ship screen is not doing a conversion but is simply replacing the UOM with user preference UOM.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into OTM
2. Assign a user preference to the user which has weight=LB and volume=CUFT
3. Create a new order base line with 6000 KG and 10 CU M.
4. Click Save
5. Select Line and click on Actions --> Change Order --> Ready to Ship
6. Note the numbers are the same for volume and weight, but the UOM has changed to match the user preference of LB and CUFT
