GLXACCMB: You Cannot Enter An Account With Parent Segment Value (Doc ID 1081937.6)

Symptoms

You have defined a new segment value by navigating to Setup/Financials/Flexfields/Key/Values (form FNDFFMSV), checked the Parent box [X] and saved the record.

Later you realize that making this a parent account is incorrect, so you uncheck the Parent box and save. The concurrent request to compile the flex hierarchy is kicked off and completes successfully.

You then navigate to Setup/Account/Combinations (form GLXACCMB) and try to enter a code combination with this newly created segment value.

When you enter the value, a pop-up box appears with this message:
