Symptoms

When attempting to update items through the Master Items form (INVIDITM), the following error occurs:

-- Error
APP-FND-01934: ORA-20001: APP-FND-01934: ORA-06502: PL/SQL error: characters strings buffer too low numeric or value error in the package EDR_PSIG_RULE procedure STORE_ERECORD in the package EDR_PSIG_RULE procedure PSIG_RULE.

-- Steps
1. Go to Inventory > Items > Master Items
2. Query the related item.
3. Update any attribute
4. Save
5. See the reported error.
