Tracking Event Manager Layout - Calendar Field Not Working When Shipment ID Field Is Not Used

Symptoms
When trying to customize the Tracking Event Manager Layout by removing the Shipment ID field, and clicking on the calendar field, a Null Pointer Exception similar to the below is thrown:
