Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Find that from sales orders created from Charges Installation detail is getting populated with the parent instance even though the relationship has been inactivated.
That creates errors in IB ('The replacement setup is invalid for item instance xxxxx').

Expected Behavior
Expect the Installation Details to not have the parent instance information when the relationship has been inactivated.

Steps to Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. look for an instance (123) with child instance (456) and expire the relationship between both.
  2. Enter an SR for the customer that owns the instances
  3. In the charge lines, pick a replacement activity type (order) and in the Instance tab use the instance number that correspond with the instance that used to be the child instance.
  4. Submit charges and confirm the sales order is created.
  5. In the installation details of the order, on the Non-Source tab, the instance information of the instance that used to be the parent instance is populated in the "Parent Instance" field.

The relationship is expired so, the parent instance information should not be populated.
