When Order Release Windows Are Wider, Consolidation Results for Multi-Leg Itinerary are Poor
(Doc ID 1165513.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version 5.5.05 to 5.5.05.08 [Release 5.5]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Two orders are being planned onto a multi-leg itinerary (3 legs), where the middle leg is a Voyage. These orders are initially planned separately onto each of the three legs. The results are that they end up on different voyages
in the end, and therefore completely independent shipments where they could have been consolidated together on ALL three legs and shared the same voyage.
The orders are identical (with the exception of weight/volume) other than the EARLY PICKUP WINDOW.
