PERWSEMP Updating Assignment Data on 'Enter Person' Form Errors with ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows

Symptoms
When attempting to update any information on the Assignment tab in Employee screen (for example add the position to an employee), the following error is received:
FRM-40735: ON-UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01422.
Steps to reproduce:
1.On 'History' tab on 'Person Information' form (PERWSEMP),
Create a historical record as following.
Save the data and close the form.
Organization From To
------------ ------------ ----------
REC1=> ORG_A 2010-07-29 2010-07-29
REC2=> ORG_B 2010-07-30 (4712-12-31)
2.Reopen 'Enter Person' form (PERWSEMP) .
Query the employee in the step#1.
Then open 'Assignment' tab.
Navigation Path:
(N)Rerouces and Organization > HR Foundation
> People > Enter and Maintain
> 'Enter Person' form > (B)More
> 'Person Information' form
> 'Assignment' tab
3.Update a value of any field (ex:Job) on the tab.
the existing the employee assignment data (XXXX).
