Accidently Over Releasing an Order Base Cannot Be Corrected. (Doc ID 1177333.1)

Symptoms

On OTM version 6.1,when an Order Base Line is set with "Allow Over-releasing" as Never and accidently an Instruction to release a greater number than is available is passed it correctly errors (see below). However any attempted to correct it with a new instruction line (with the correct amount) will not work as the lod incorrect line cannot be deleted.

ERROR

"Failed to create order release. For order base line <example:DOMAIN.ID>, the new total released amount <3> is greater than line count <2> and over
releasing is not allowed."


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create an Order Base  with  Allow Over Releasing set to "Never", release method ONE_TO_ONE, and line item ITEM COUNT set to 2

2. Click  Actions button for the above OB and navigate  to Order Management > Change Order> Release Lines on the "Order Base Line Item Data" screen  click on Release button.

3. On the following screen "Order Base Line Item", click on "New Release Instruction"
button,  on the Release Instruction Screen enter 3 for Unit Amount then
click Ok, and on the next screen click "Finished" it will error with:

 "Failed to create order release.  For order base line <order base
line ID>, the new total released amount <3> is greater than
line count <2> and over releasing is not allowed."

4. Follow the steps of 2 and 3 again, but this time with the correct count of 2 . Still gets the same error
