FND_FNDFFMDC, FNDFFMDC,

Symptoms

When the parameter of the Defined Descriptive Flexfield segments form - FND_FNDFFMDC - is set to Query_Only = "Yes" and the form is opened, the compile button of the form is active, and will after a few tries
allow the flexfield that is queried to be compiled and a view created.

Changes

The steps used to make the form readonly are as follows:
Create custom function based on the standard FND_FNDFFMDC with parameters QUERY_ONLY="YES" (No other changes). This function is then attached to a custom menu and then to a custom responsibility
When the Define DFF segments form - FNDFFMDC - is opened, the Compile button is active, if the flexfield is FROZEN and this is unacceptable. Eventually, after a series of error messages the flexfield compiles and a view is created.
